City Mayor of Valencia City

As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.

Mayor Huervas of Valencia City Renders State of the City Address


On October 8, 2015 Valencia City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas rendered her State of the City Address during the 7th Special Session of the Sangguniang Panlunsod at 9:00 AM at the City Hall Covered Court, City Hall Compound, Valencia City, Bukidnon.

The City Mayor spoke in front of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, Department Heads of Local and National Offices, Government-owned and Controlled Corporations, Barangay Officials, Non-Government Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, People’s Organizations, Faith-based Organizations, Media Partners, Employees of the City Government and invited guests from Valencia City.

It is the vision of the Local Chief Executive to deliver the basic services of the City Government to all the constituents of Valencia City from all walks of life as mandated by law. The Local Chief Executive should ensure the delivery of basic services and the provision of adequate facilities.

The City Mayor started her speech by reiterating her installation in the City Government since June 9, 2014 and she reported the accomplishments during her administration.

The Mayor reported on the services rendered during her administration, to wit:

  1. Social and Health Services
  2. Educational Services
  3. Support on Infrastructure
  4. Agricultural Services
  5. Environmental Protection
  6. Peace and Order Situation
  7. Economic Services
  8. Transparency and Good Local Governance

The City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas also give her sincerest thanks to the department heads and all employees for doing their responsibilities in the delivery of basic services to the people of Valencia. And while the City Government is continuing its mission to implement the on-going programs, projects and activities for the City, the Mayor also discussed the future directions of her administration including the projects and programs to be implemented.

The Honorable Mayor Huervas finished her 80-minute speech by thanking all the attendees of the occasion.
