Valencia City Employees Receives Free Health and Wellness Services
More than six hundred employees of the city government of Valencia received free health and wellness services during the first day of Employees Wellness Week in celebration of the 115th Civil Service Anniversary with theme, “Kayang-kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayani” on September 15, 2015.
The city government was able to offer services such as free medical check-up, dental services, hair-cut and grooming services, manicure-pedicure, wellness check-up, and massage and reflex sessions.
The employees were also encouraged to avail services with minimal counterpart such as HIV testing, and for women, breast examination, visual inspection using acetic acid (VIA) the early detection of cervical cancer and pap-smear until Friday, September 18, 2015 at German Doctors Hospital, the City Government’s partner in health care services. The blood typing and blood-letting, on the other hand, will be offered on September 21, 2015 together with German Doctors Hospital and Red Cross, while the tubal ligation is scheduled on September 28, 2015.
All services were offered by the support of the City Administrator’s Office, City Health Office, German Doctors, Philippine Red cross, and partner organizations. The city government always encourages its employees to have a healthy lifestyle and engage on activities that are aimed to achieve optimal wellness. This is in order for the employees to subdue stress and ensure positive interaction as well as relaxation.
The city government, through the support of the Local Chief Executive Hon. Azucena P. Huervas, assured to continue on focusing the employees' welfare and wellness, since employees play an important role in the delivery of the basic services of the government to the constituents of Valencia City.
