Gov. Zubiri Meets Barangay Officials of Valencia City

Bukidnon Provincial Governor Hon. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. held a meeting together with the barangay officials from the 31 barangays of Valencia City on September 10, 2015. The event was also attended by Valencia City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas, Vice Mayor Hon. Rolando P. Laviña, 4th district Congressman Hon. Rogelio Neil "Oneil" P. Roque, Board Member Hon. Ranulfo E. Pepito, City Councilor Hon. Camilo E. Pepito, City Councilor Hon. Rodrigo A. Rosal and ABC Federation President Hon. Arlando L. Cañete.

Governor Zubiri convenes with the officials to address issues that concern the public and discuss matters regarding the needs of each barangay. The highlights of the event are the different achievements of the province particularly on peace and order, health care, agricultural projects, livelihood programs, and infrastructure.

Hon. Zubiri said that the provincial government is always bound to help the people especially those who are in the hinterlands. "I need the help of the people as well as the barangay to make our plans for the province possible," he added.

On the other hand, officials from the barangays were thankful as they also received funds from the provincial government to support their projects particularly on infrastructure.

Furthermore, Mayor Huervas expressed her support to the governor and gave thanks for the undying support of the provincial government for the people of Valencia. "The city is on its way to progress, and by having unity we can do everything," Mayor Huervas said, adding that the government should always help the people.
