As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.

Bukidnon Celebrates 101st Founding Anniversary

The Provincial Government of Bukidnon headed by the Provincial Governor, Hon. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. conducted the 101st Foundation Day Celebration at Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, on September 1, 2015. The program started with a Pamuhat at the Provincial Capitol Grounds together with the heads of the seven tribes of Bukidnon.

A civic parade followed at 7:00AM which was attended by the delegates from the 20 municipalities and 2 cities of the whole province, the different national government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, civic society organizations and people’s organizations.

The program proper was held at the Capitol Grounds and an Ecumenical Prayer was rendered by Bishop Jose A. Cabantan, Datu Salimbangon Magdalino C. Pandian and Imam Zubair Langilao. The parade of colors followed, and the Pambansang Awit was rendered by the BSU Brass Band and the BPH Manolo Fortich led the Provincial Hymn. The raising of the National Flag was led by Col. Jesse A. Alvarez, INF (GSC) PA, the Brigade Commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army and PSS Edgar M. Daniel, Jr. Provincial Director of Bukidnon Provincial Police Office. The Provincial Governor led the raising of the Provincial Flag and the City/Municipal Mayors raised their respective city/municipal flags.

Hon. Ignacio W. Zubiri , Jr., City Mayor of Malaybalay City, gave his welcome remarks and Hon. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. Provincial Governor gave his inspirational message. The governor also awarded certificates (Handog Titulo) to the displaced families in the Province of Bukidnon.

Per Memoramdum Order No. 320, s. of 2015, all Department Heads and Division Heads of the City Government of Valencia are instructed to attend the said activity.

September 1, 2015 was declared a special non-working holiday in the Province of Bukidnon by virtue of Proclamation No. 1108 by the President of the Philippines in celebration of the 101st Founding Anniversary of Bukidnon.
