Valencia City PYAP Bagged Major Awards during the 41st PYAP Anniversary in Lanao Del Norte

Recognizing that the youth are the hope of our country, as our National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal had implied, the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) conducted its 41st Regional Anniversary at Tubod, Lanao Del Norte on July 27-29, 2015, with the theme “Kusganong Kaakuhan sa Pag-amping sa Kinaiyahan," with the Province of Lanao del Norte as the host and the events were held in Gov. Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Center in Pigcarangan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

32 participants from Valencia City joined the regional delegation for the 3-day fun-filled stint in Lanao del Norte solely intended for the youth. The City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas supported the personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office who accompanied the PYAP Federation Officers of Valencia City with the City Level Winners who will be vying for different awards in the regional level.

Fortunately, PYAP Valencia City bagged the major awards:

1st Place - Sulong Dunong - Roland Ybañez from Brgy. Sinayawan

1st Place - Essay-writing Contest - Ruel Andan from Brgy. Poblacion

Miss PYAP 2015 - Regional Winner - Angel Lampitao from Brgy. Laligan

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Phillipines, Inc. or PYAP is a duly constituted barangay-based organization of the out-of school-youth between 15-24 years old who are clientele of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
