City Mayor of Valencia City

As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.
~City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas

During her speech, City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas emphasized that the City Government is considering for more opportunities in supporting the social and financial needs of the indigent elders of Valencia City and the social pension is an additional cash to spend for the elders’ basic needs.

Based on the Republic Act 9994 or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, indigent senior citizens aged 60 years old and above are entitled to monthly pension, however, due to limited government resources only those 77 and above were covered by the law up to 2014, but for this year, DSWD’s proposal to lower the age of qualification to 65 was approved by Congress and Senate and has been included in the General Appropriations Act of 2015.
