City Mayor of Valencia City

As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.

Hon. Mayor Azucena P. Huervas meets the 17 broadcast and print media partners from Bukidnon last June 1, 2015, 1:00PM at the City Mayor's Office Conference Room during her monthly meeting with the press to address significant issues and concerns in Valencia City.

Among the topics discussed were the procurement of the Rescue Truck of the City Risk Reduction and Management Council worth P1, 980,000.00 and 10 units of motorcycle vehicles (6 XRM and 4 STX for the City Government of Valencia) and 1 motorcycle was downloaded to the city for the use of INREMP programs of the City Environment and Natural Resources. The mayor was also asked about the city government's educational assistance and she disclosed that the city is extending assistance up to P2,000.00/student. Another topic discussed is the situation of some mentally-ill persons roaming around the city streets of Valencia and the mayor’s plan of ordering the City Social Welfare and Development Office through the City Social Welfare and Development Officer, Mrs. Juanita A. The mayor stressed out that since the City of Valencia does not have a facility for the mentally-ill individuals, the city government will provide assistance for their medicines and subsistence.

In relation to the City Government’s aim to promote No-Smoking Policy and strengthen its campaign against tobacco smoking, the City Government of Valencia conducted the World No Tobacco Day last March 28, 2015 and the highlight of the activity is the digital poster-making contest which aims to create awareness among constituents of Valencia. The month of June is also No Smoking Month and the Local Chief Executive challenged the employees and officials in the city to stop smoking.

The mayor also declared that the City Government has a new Acting City Administrator, Mr. Abe P. Gillaco and new Acting HRMO, Ms. Monaliza L. Sebastian.
