Greetings!
As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.

LGU Valencia Recognizes Civil Servants

The City Government of Valencia recognized employees, department head, department, and Sangguniang Panlungsod members who have demonstrated exemplary performance in the delivery of service to the public during the culmination night of the 117th Civil Service Anniversary on September 29, 2017.

Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas headed the giving of awards together with Vice Mayor Glen G. Galario, Bruce A. Colao, Provincial Director of DILG Bukidnon, Lourdes Pelaez, Director II of Civil Service Commission Bukidnon, and members of the Selection and Screening Committee headed by Abe P. Gillaco, MPA, Human Resource Management Officer.

Awarded as Top 10 Outstanding Employees were Joever B. Esparcia, Joel S. Dionson, Emma B. Permahin, Chamverlin P. Bayoneta and Elpidio B. Casabuena for the first level category; and Kenth Philip P. Marcos, CPA, Ariel K. Cabingas, Elna B. Guzman, Ethel Mae B. Unabia, and Marivic G. Tahil for the second level category.

For the second time around, Diosdado B. Palma, CPA, City Accountant, was once again hailed as this year’s Outstanding Department Head while the City Accounting Office as Outstanding Department followed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod Office and City Treasurer’s Office.

The Top 5 Outstanding SP Members of 2017 were also named which includes Dr. Policarpo P. Murillo, IV, Atty. Oliver Owen L. Garcia, Camilo E. Pepito, Helen T. Bernal and Rodrigo A. Rosal.

The nominees for each award category were also recognized while special awards were also given to the employees who exude outstanding performance in their line of duty such as the utility workers, drivers, sanitation crews, and traffic enforcers.

All awarded civil servants went a thorough deliberation conducted by the Selection and Screening Committee.

The overall game winners were announced during the activity with Cluster 1 - team Wolverine as Champion, Cluster 5 - team Superman as 1st placer, and Cluster 6 - team Captain America as 2nd placer.

The awarding ceremony is an annual event that gives a positive reinforcement to the performance of all employees and officials of the city government.
