 WELCOME MESSAGE

City Mayor of Valencia City

Greetings!
As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.

Valencia City Mayor Urges Civil Servants to Continue Serve the Public with “Malasakit”

Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas urged all city government employees to continue uphold their duties in serving the public by manifesting “malasakit” during the opening ceremony of 117th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 4, 2017, at City Hall Covered Court.

Huervas, in her speech said that public servants should have compassion in their work, in serving the constituents, and in achieving goals for better future.

“We are public servants. We have our duties to serve our fellowmen, country, and God above all. Hence, we are called heroes in our own little way,” said Huervas, adding that government employees should never forget their responsibilities as civil servants and show their worth by being good role models.

Huervas also expressed her hope that with the Civil Service anniversary, public servants will keep a harmonious relationship with their colleagues.

“Pinaagi aning selebrasyon, matagaan og pagtagad ang mga empleyado nga maipakita ilang talento ug kahibalo sa matang sa sports, music, ug arts,” Huervas said. (With this celebration, employees are able to share their talents and skills in sports, music, and arts)

The celebration of civil service promises a month of activities and sporting events participated by clusters, represented by different local and national offices, government-owned and controlled corporations, partner agencies and institutions.

Highlight in the event is the lighting of cauldron led by Mayor Huervas which signifies the start of the celebration.

A cheer dance competition was also conducted where the Team Tigra of the National Irrigation Administration hailed as the champion.

The contestants for the Mr. and Ms. Civil Service also took the stage as they introduced themselves to the crowd.

With the theme “Tugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani” the 117th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service also

highlighted the triumph and sacrifice of the men and women in public service.
