Greetings!
As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.

LGU Valencia Joins 115th Labor Day

The City Government of Valenciajoined the celebration of the 115th Philippine Labor Day with other Local Government Units, national agencies, private establishments, and institutions held at the Kaamulan Folk Arts Theater in Malaybalay City.

Different activities were conducted during the whole dayeventwhich was spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Bukidnon Provincial Office in cooperation with the Bukidnon Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (BTIPC).

A traditional parade was conducted in the morning followed bybloodletting in coordination with the Philippine National Red Cross, livelihood fair participated by the DOLE Starter Kits beneficiaries under DILEEP grants and a ceremonial turn-over of school supplies to identified school beneficiaries under Project Angel Tree.

To continually support the Angel Tree Program, afundraising activity was held for the purchase of additional school supplies.

With this year’s theme “MatatagnaKabuhayan at TrabahoTungosaProgresibongPagbabago,” the celebration aims to recognize the vital role of the Filipino Workers in nation-building and development.

Labor Day, is a public holiday in many countries worldwide which is celebrated every May 1.
