As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.

Valencia City Local Youth Development Office Conducts 1st Valencia City Youth Forum

RA 10742, also known as the SK Reform Law, encouraged LGUs to improve and broaden youth empowerment through the creation of the Local Youth Development Office and Council.

The Valencia City Local Youth Development Office conducted the 1st Valencia City Youth Forum last May 7, 2017 (Sunday), from 8:00 am to 12:00nn at CAP Building, Valencia City attended by 25 different organization presidents within the City of Valencia.

With the efforts of LGU Valencia to support the youth in nation building, the following topics were discussed:

  1. Update the current guidelines of DILG, National Youth Commission (NYC), Local Youth Development Office (LYDO);
  2. Youth Organization Accreditation in the Local Government Unit and to the National Agencies; and
  3. The upcoming activities intended for the youth.

The objectives of the forum are the following:

  1. To develop mutual understanding and cooperation among youth organizations.
  2. To share the concept and practice of trust, unity and acknowledging the importance of youth in Valencia.
  3. To increase the participation of young men and women in decision-making, development and civic participation.
