Valencia City Receives Mobile Dental Bus from DOH
In response to improve the dental health care coverage of the underserved people of Valencia City, the Department of Health through the Health Facility Enhancement Program has allocated Valencia City a Mobile Dental Bus.
During the blessing of the newly acquired mobile dental vehicle on January 9, 2017, City Mayor Hon. Azucena P. Huervas said that she is thankful to the Department of Health for complementing the role of the city in ensuring that health services are efficiently served.
City Councilor Hon. Policarpo P. Murillo IV, MD, Chairman on Health said that the ambulant dental bus received at DOH Central Office is a customized air-conditioned bus, equipped with 2 dental chairs and instruments that can hasten the dental missions of the City Health Office in all of the 31 barangays of the City of Valencia.
Meanwhile, City Health Officer Dr. Marlyn V. Agbayani said that the bus is a great aid in catering the needs of constituents in far-flung areas.
The City Government has a continuing Serbisyong Tinabangay para sa Barangay program with medical and dental outreach missions which aims to deliver the basic services to all constituents of Valencia City.
