 WELCOME MESSAGE

City Mayor of Valencia City

Greetings!
As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.

NNC Holds Nutrition Literacy and Learning Visit in Valencia City

The National Nutrition Council (NNC) conducted a Nutrition Literacy and Learning Visit together with the Media Advocates for Nutrition in Governance of Region 10 (MANGO DIEZ) on November 3-4, 2016 at Valencia City, Bukidnon.

The activity was participated by the different media partners, Public Information Agency (PIA) Region 10 and PIA Bukidnon.

The program aimed to intensify the efforts for the NorthMin-wide campaign against nutrition problems.

Hon. Policarpo P. Murillo IV, M.D., Chairman on Committee on Health, and City Nutrition Committee Co-Chair graced the event and shared some inputs about malnutrition and gave an empowering message to the participants.

“Malnutrition is not just a problem but a social problem,” Murillo said adding that the government should have strong programs that will focus on malnutrition with the support of all government officials from the chief executive down to the barangay level in order to combat the matter.

During the second day of the event, the participants went to Barangay Kibaning, Kalilangan, Bukidnon for a learning visit where interaction and discussions were conducted.

The team visited the area to see its best practices as the town has the only radio program on nutrition and health in the whole region 10.

In the end, Dr. Murillo also highlighted and shared the efforts that were made by the City Government of Valencia in combating health glitches which made the city gained the Nutrition Honor award, the most prestigious award in nutrition conferred by the National Nutrition Council.
