Valencia City Holds Employees’ Wellness Day
In line with the 116th Civil Service Month Celebration, the city government employees of Valencia received free health and wellness services during the Employees’ Wellness Day on September 23, 2016.
Among the services offered for free are the medical check-up, blood pressure checking, dental services, nutritional status assessment, hair grooming services, manicure-pedicure, massage and reflex sessions.
The employees were also encouraged to avail services such as the Blood typing and HIV testing at the City Health Office.
During the program, Ms. Venus B. Morales, DM, AOV of the City Accounting Office, and the President of Valencia City Government Employees Union welcomed the employees and encouraged them to always have a healthy lifestyle and take care of themselves. She also thanked the city government for spearheading a very rewarding activity for the employees.
“We, the employees are glad and thankful for the kind of services provided to us as this will also help us become productive in our performance in serving and delivering the basic services to the people of Valencia,’’ she added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Erwin E. Casicas, Branch Manager of GSIS Malaybalay Office, also joined the activity and conducted a presentation of updates on their programs and services. Employees were able to ask all their concerns regarding GSIS.
The city government, through the support of Mayor Azucena P. Huervas, assured to continue on focusing the interest of promoting wellness in the workplace and of the employees.
