City Mayor of Valencia City

As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.

Valencia City Joins National Blood Donor’s Month

In line with the observance of the National Blood Donors Month this July, the City Government of Valencia through the City Health Office together with Bukidnon Provincial Health Office and Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center spearheaded this year’s observance through a Bloodletting Activity at the City Hall Covered Court on July 26, 2016.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1021, dated July 9, 1997, and the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the National Blood Service Act of 1994, the observance purposes to build public awareness of the need for quality and safe blood, honor and recognize blood donors, and encourage regular blood donation.

The bloodletting activity was made possible to meet the increasing demand for blood and augment the national blood requirement of our constituents in the city.

In his lecture, Dr. Juniver G. Flores, Medical Officer IV of the City Health Office said that blood is very important as it could not be manufactured and when we give blood, we give life.

“Every month of July, Blood Donors Month was observed and it is part of the aim of the City Government to raise awareness and encourage the constituents to donate blood,” Dr. Flores said.

Dr. Flores also gave the guidelines for blood donors: The donor must be 18 yrs. old, weight should not be lesser than 50kgs, blood pressure should be 90 -160 systolic and 60 -100 diastolic; pulse rate should be between 60-100 beat/minute, hemoglobin must not be lower than 125g/L and must have a healthy body and lifestyle.

Meanwhile, City Councilor Hon. Policarpo P. Murillo, IV, MD, Chairman, Committee on Health said that donating blood is volunteerism.

“Blood donors are the unseen lifeline of those who are in dire need of blood. Their actions are concrete symbol of caring and loving that destroy the greedy and apathetic characters of those who don’t care,” Murillo said.

The bloodletting activity was graced by Dr. Juniver G. Flores, Medical Officer IV, and Joefelyn R. Caluya, Med-Tech III of CHO, Bukidnon PBMC Medical Technologists Joseph Marben Gealon, Lucille Sinangote, Decemm Pechora and Dorie Liloc, Driver.
