DTI Bukidnon Conducts Training Seminar Under SME Roving Academy in Valencia City

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon successfully conducted a Financial Literacy Seminar & Financing Forum under the SME Roving Academy (SMERA) in partnership with Negosyo Center Valencia City on June 29, 2016 at Hotel Valencia.

SMERA is a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become competitive in the domestic and international markets.

The seminar was attended by 85 participants composed of businessmen and LGU personnel’s from the different municipalities of Bukidnon.

The activity was also made possible through the partnership of ThinkWell Bukidnon Chapter and Valencia City Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Chanda R. Uy, who represented the ThinkWell Bukidnon Chapter, talked about the “New Psychology of Success” and “How to understand others by Understanding Yourself”.

The said topics will help the participants to set their mindset on how to aim for success and become effective in the field of business and customer relationship.

Mr. Ronelle J. Pama from Rural Bank of Manolo Fortich, Mr. Jade M. Montero from the Small Business Corporation and Mr. Randy P. Farolan from the Bank of Makati also shared knowledge about Financing Programs on how to expand businesses for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through the help of their respective banks and/or cooperatives.

A forum was also held at the end of the program which was facilitated by Mr. Junar B. Merla, Senior Trade and Industry Officer of DTI-Bukidnon Chapter.

Meanwhile, the Negosyo Center Valencia City also announced that they will conduct more seminars for the month of July.

One of the main functions of the center is to provide information and services in training, financing, marketing and other areas as may be required by MSMEs.
