 WELCOME MESSAGE

City Mayor of Valencia City

Greetings!
As my call to serve and lead the people of the City of Valencia, it is a challenge for me to make the city more progressive. First and foremost, to be able to attain it, I ensure that the employees of the City Government of Valencia serve the people in excellence as true public servants.
Among the many steps I took during my administration, I am encouraged to create a functional website to foster transparency. It is a tool to provide better services to all sectors in the community and it will also encourage public participation. The ultimate aim of this website is that eventually it will become a channel to facilitate business transactions efficiently using secured electronic payment systems.
It is with great pleasure to welcome you all to the official website of the City of Valencia. Feel free to browse and may it answer specific need of all users.
Thank you.

Valencia City Celebrates Dental Heart Month

The City Government of Valencia successfully spearheaded a fundraising activity and free mass wedding in celebration of Philippine Heart Month.

Starting at the second week of February the City Government organized the Feb-Ibig Fundraising Activity with the theme “Gugma para kay Lolo ug Lola.”

The undertaking aims to raise fund by offering services and selling of goods or gift items to employees and customers.

Highlights in the event are the services offered such as picture taking at photo wall and love booth, serenade requests, and special delivery of pastries, chocolates, balloons and bouquets.

The proceeds of the fundraising activity will be used to buy reading glasses and will be donated to the Senior Citizens in the city.

Valencia City is known for its active participation on projects that aimed to raise funds for its chosen beneficiaries. Last year, the local government launched the first ever “Share and Give Love” which aimed to give and distribute oral hygiene kits to the kids from different schools in the city.

Meanwhile, a total of 47 couples exchanged vows and proudly displayed their love during the free mass wedding ceremony held at the City Hall Covered Court and Barangay Dagatkidavao on Valentine’s Day.

The city government headed by Mayor Azucena P. Huervas together with the Civil Registrar’s Office headed by Ms. Teresita B. Dicen, successfully conducted the free mass wedding ceremony.

Mayor Huervas said that marriage is important as it represents a relationship with God. She also encouraged the couples to always say I love you to each other.

The mass wedding is also one of the highlights during the observance of the Civil Registration Month Celebration which is based on Presidential Proclamation No. 682 issued by President Corazon C. Aquino.

The said month-long celebration is celebrated to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons and enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of the civil registry documents.
