Valencia City, MFMDPRI Concurs for Continued Operation of German Doctors
The City Government of Valencia signed into Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Mindanao Foundation for Medical Disaster Preparedness and Response, Incorporated (MFMDPRI) to continue the operations of the German doctors as a medical facility on October 24, 2018 at the Bukidnon Community Health Care Center.
After the 25 years contract of the German doctors has expired, the MFMDPRI took over and assumed the operation to continue to provide Health Care Services to the indigents and low-income families in the city.
Sister Milagros Gimeno, Chairperson of MFMDPRI, said that they are happy to serve and continue the work of the German doctors for another 25 years.
With the said agreement, the MFMDPRI emphasized to continue the “no balance billing” for the indigents with PhilHealth insurance for in-patient services.
Azucena P. Huervas, Valencia City Mayor, extended her gratitude for the realization of the agreement and is hopeful to work harmoniously with the MFMDPRI and serve the people of Valencia and the neighboring communities.
Dr. Policarpo P. Murillo IV, City Councilor and Committee Chair on Health Services, also acknowledged the hard work of the city council in the formulation of the said MOA and was pleased to inform the public that after series of meetings and committee hearings, the Bukidnon Community Health Care Center also known as Committee of German Doctors will now continue its services.
The event was also made with the presence of City Vice Mayor Glenn G. Galario, City Councilor Rhea Rhenna H. Agripo, City Legal Officer Atty. Marlowe C. Selecios, media partners, department heads of the different offices of LGU Valencia, Bukidnon Community Health Care Center (BCHCC) employees, and the members of the MFMDPRI.
