VALENCIA CITY – Two new garbage compactors, each valued at ₱2.8 million, and a bulldozer worth ₱12.4 million were blessed and presented during the May Convocation, after being secured by the City Government of Valencia through the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (LDRRMF).
The acquisition was made possible with the support of Mayor Azucena “Sunny” Huervas, Chairperson of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), the efforts of CDRRMO Head June Ray Valero, and the close coordination with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

The additional garbage compactors are expected to help strengthen the city’s solid waste management and expand its waste collection capacity. Meanwhile, the bulldozer will be used for various cleanup operations and in disaster preparedness and response efforts.
On the same occasion, the city government also formally accepted a Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). Valencia City is among the beneficiaries of the PCSO Medical Transport Vehicle Donation, aimed at improving emergency medical response capacity among local government units (LGUs).
The initiatives affirm the continued efforts of Mayor Huervas’ administration to deliver quality public service by providing additional equipment that strengthens the local government’s capacity to serve the people.
